Sunilji is asking for "Saare Jahaan Se Acchha" song written by Iqbal (who incidentally moved to Pakistan after partition).
Meghal :D

Allama Iqbal died in 1938.

Read somewhere in a reliable source, that the creator of "Saare Jahan Se Accha" moved to Pakistan. Will have to confirm it

Nuthin to confirm here. He died in 1938. He was born in Sialkot.
He died in Lahore and is buried there. So he didnt need to move anywhere after partition.:)

While Ashaji's songs has lines like "Veeran Kar Diya Tha, Aandhi Ne Is Chaman Ko, Dekar Lahu Bachaya, Gaandhi Ne Is Chaman Ko"......................

I know I am opening a can of worms but I just can't help myself. "Dekar Lahu Bachaya, Gaandhi Ne Is Chaman Ko"??? I have yet to find a single incident where MKG shed his own blood in the cause of freedom. Oh Please!!

That said people, let's not hijack this thread and start off a looong and useless debate.

Try searching for the Original song at Limewire. You just might find it there.

duhh!!!!!!!!!! desitiger!!!

It is something called figure of speech. The poet is not literally talking about Gandhi being wounded by Britishers. He is referring to the freedom struggle spearheaded by Gandhiji.
