Try reading/writing the second stanza, which starts with "sapta koti pal ko kal kal ninad karale, dwishapta koti....". Once you have read it, keep marvelling over how effortlessly are Lata / Hemant Kumar able to sing that second stanza of the song in movie "Anand Math".

I am never able to sing along with the song. It is just too tough

Duh Meghal !
I was referring to the poem in the novel..not the song in the film..The song was adapted from the poem ( and thats a different story by itself..how the music was composed...Anil Biswas ?)

I believe the composer was Hemant Kumar himself !

On a side note...how would u rate Vande Mataram by AR Rahman ?...

I also have this doubt. Bankim Chandra Chatterjee's novel was on 18th century Bengal...I wonder, who composed the first ever tune for this poem ? ...or how did the tune for this poem originate ?
