I was referring to the poem in the novel..not the song in the film..The song was adapted from the poem ( and thats a different story by itself..how the music was composed...Anil Biswas ?)

I also have this doubt. Bankim Chandra Chatterjee's novel was on 18th century Bengal...I wonder, who composed the first ever tune for this poem ? ...or how did the tune for this poem originate ?
