Next time, UAE govt will start forcing everyone to adopt Sharia law and force their wives and daughters to wear veils if an Arabic nation were to demand that Canada do so, or face XYZ repercussions.
Regardless of the size or nature of the demand, no sovereign state should give in to the blackmail of another. Once it gives in to one demand, the next is sure to follow quickly.
For every action, there will be reaction. But who acted first? UAE is acting or reacting ?

If you read the article you can find out. UAE requested extra space (landing rights) for their passenger planes (Emirates and Etihad) at YYZ, which were refused and all hell broke loose. It is more of black mailing than of reaction, unless there is more to the issue (confidential) than reported.

Hence let all of us - Canadian Desis will protest the UAE's action and be true Canadians and support Canada.
How we do this?.
Let us stop flying Ethihad or Emirates.
Let us not use any point of UAE as a transit point.
Let us not buy anything or sell anything to UAE.
UAE needs Canada more than Canada needs UAE as they need our minerals.
Let us not use any UAE based companies services in Canada including those ones doing Currency Exchange.
When UAE realizes its economic loss it will fall in line.
