Hi,
Is it possible to take a 52" or a 60" LED TV to India? Any extra flight charges and customs? Thanks.
Check it the TV size is as per the standard size or oversize size. Otherwise you will have to carry it in the cargo.
I was told that till 32" there is no duty. After that duty will be there .
Peace

It is not size of the thing it is price of electronic item which is checked. 10 years back it was 18k limit, 5 years back something arnd 30k , must be increased now. I was in Bombay and my friend from Amrica sent me a camera , I know we kept the cost below 300$s for it to pass through customs duty free. that was in start of millennium.
But when they see the size more than 32", then they will minus the deduction and tax it.
Even if the 32' is more than the exemption limit, they will let you through.
My collegues frequently come from dubai, they bring free :
1. camera
2. TV
3.Laptop
They donot pay any duty to customs.
Once you walk with an oversize baggage, then an X will be put in chalk on it, and the customs official would pull you over.
Peace
