Hi
I desire to settle in Canada, and as life has it for most of us, one cannot feel settled until one has a fixed source of income.
Browsing thru the posts, I gather that, though one can get any job within a short period of time, upon landing, however, such jobs are, most often, not in-line with one's real calling.
I am a IT person with 15yrs experience (with abt 4+yrs in the US) and for past 2+yrs I am working as a SAP MM consultant.
I have absolutely no idea of job scene in Canada, nor I have any first-info-reporter friend with tips and tricks.
I would rely almost entirely on CD members to guide me.
Query is, can I get a job offer from a Canadian firm? How does this "arranged employment" option work? Does it work like US H1B visa ?
Or Is that the only way is to first land, get a "tide-over" job and in the meanwhile hunt your desired calling and hope to get lucky?
would much appreciate guidance here
