hello, i am from the uk and i am planning to come to canada in the next couple of years. i have read many of the posts and i feel that canada is not that welcome to immigrants for those looking for above entry level jobs, need work experience. is that for those who from asian countries or is it the same for those who come from a western country? i am not try to sound racist.
are there any british people who have made the move from the uk to canada and was the move a good or bad experience?

sarah,
there is a posting "Life in Canada" read comments of those people. it is what you want to get out of canada. personally i feel it all depends on an individual. UK/Canada both has its pros and cons and honestly do what you feel is right, listen to your gut feeling, overlook the negative, i am sure u have done a fair study analyse UK vs. Canada

It is not good either. Not so bad when compared to back home. It is fear of going back home to start with beginning is stopping many to leave canada. Even after doing odd jobs people are happy, and there is good amount of respect in their natives.... my son/ son-in -law lives in toronto etc.. etc. my daughter lives in Montreal. Such words stop them to go back home. Moreover India you cannot even find those odd jobs even if you want to do after retiring from Canada. Atleast people are happy here looking at the situation in India with no jobs, over population, corruption, harassment and bad administration.

But if you have third choice then I would say Canada will be the last choice, since no one wants to be drivers, pizza delivery boys.

Nothing wrong with this country. Unfortunately, some new immigrants choose to make their personal failures appear to be failures of the system in general. Commiserating among themselves probably makes them feel better.

Hi crenshaw,

If you are in a Western country, then it would be better to stay put.

But why Indians are failure in Canada alone, why not in u.s.a., african countries, many other Asian countries, u.k etc? It clearly proves that Canada has nothing to offer. It is proved beyond doubt that Canada do not need educated, professional people in real. What they all need is educated labour for huge country.
