Hello Immigratino Expert,

Please help me out in this. Recently I got Immigration papers.

And Visa Officer has adviced me to send the Passports for Single Entry (for immigration) and land/immigrate before March 31st to Canada.

Where as I am currently working in USA and my current H1B extension is under processing and I want to land in Canada sometime after my H1B approval (and I don't know when I can get my H1B extension approval).

Meantime, I will send my Passport to Buffalo Office for Single Entry visa, and my another question digging me up is that if I didn't land in Canada before March 31st, will my approved immigration gets cancelled or is there anything I should take care of.

Please advice me.

you need to land in Canada within one year of your medicals. so I guess you had your medicals march 2005? you can drive up to canada in march.

1. you will need 4 weeks to get your PR card
2 you can have it sent to a friends place but you will need PR card to re enter canada.
3. apply for your SIN card then.
4. make sure you have a perm address when you cross the border coz we have heard of ppl being refused immigrationcoz the officer thinks you have just come to enter and then kleave .
5. remember they need to believe that you are here to stay.
6. so do everything as you would when you come here permanenetly.
7. your immigration is not complete till you make your landing.
8. make you list of articles to follow. furniture and all
9 have a permanent adress.
10 . if it is a friend you are going to stay with - get a rent contract from him.
11. ppl have also entered with motel adress.
12.carry enough luggage with you to show you are here to stay.
