Hi,

1. Does anyone have experience of moving car from USA to Canada by MOVERS?

2. Any experience of moving in the middle of academic year for elementary school?

Thanks.

I have experience of importing car from US, but not via mover.
My suggestion is to import the car yourself, and not via mover.
You can move your household stuff via mover.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

We are from California. Driving from Calif. to Toronto during winter, you can imagine how it will be.

Moreover, if the company pays for relocation expenses, we don't want to drive. We will know about it soon.

Actually, it's not too bad.
One of my friends did just that - from California to Toronto last Jan.

Then it's your call.
You have to make sure that you provide all the necessary paperwork to the moving company.
As well as get a binding estimate.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

The documents needed are

1. The title
2. The recall clearance letter.

Is there any other document needed?

Could you please give the web link(phone number) for the border posts through which we can import the car?

What are the documents needed?

Thanks.

Hi Raajen,
I moved my car from San jose to Toronto last year through A – A AUTO TRANSPORT. It cost me around $1250 US.
Doc : Title, recall letter.
The transport guys took care of everything. I had to go and collect the car from the misssuaga custom center.
http://www.riv.ca/english/html/how_to_import.html gives you more details
Let me know if you need more details.

Sri
