Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Do u have any idea, how much does it cost to get the modifications done for a 2000 Toyota Camry?

Is it worth bringing the car and modify it OR sell it in US and buy a new car in Canada? Pl. let me know your opinion.

Could you please give the web link(phone number) for the border posts through which we can import the car?

What are the documents needed?
You need to fax the title to the post at least 15 days in advance.
And make sure you carry the original title with you, as well as the "No-Recalls" letter from the manufacturer.

about the kids. just have their immunization record which shows they have had all their shots.

take their mark sheets. of the year. : report cards.
landing papers. you will need to give their medical card but that can be submitted when you get it.

thats all we had given. I am not sure about the SIN # but i think that can be given once you get it. ( i dont think I gave that) we moved in dec so that was in the middle of the yr. my kid had no problem at all.

Should be between CAD $300 to 400

If you are asking about the 2000 Camry from Calif., I suggest bring it here. I would not advice getting a new one in Canada. Might cost you more. If you are really planning on buying a new car, then totally different story.
Besides this, it's a huge seller's market here. Where as in the US, it's petty much buyer's market.

Hi,

1. What documents are to be faxed to US Customs?

2. What documents are needed at the Canadian border apart from Title, registration and recall clearance. Am I missing something?

3. What documents are needed to get cheaper insurance?

Currently, I have allstate insurance in US.

1. Do I have to get history of insurance letter from them?

2. Do I have to get Driving records? If so, for the past how many years?

3. Is it possible to get the driving record from the state in US where our driver's license is valid now?

Thanks.

mmm ... that's it.
I assume your car is declared in goods-to-follow list.

Driving record from you DMV. (some document from the dmv that states that you have so-and-so points/accidents, etc)

Yes. You'll have to prove that you were a good driver ;)
Required if you want your US driving experience to be respected.
