But i dont get it...why is everyone discussing "looking for friends" under canadiansakhi?? and its not just women there getting together...

Simple...the thread was started by a woman who thought that some women (like you may be) will respond and then it would be easier for her to meet as couple!
But since it was meant for couples, men (like me) entered into it, and finally made it to 7 pages of interesting and not so interting discussion and a final plan to meet at Ikea on coming Sunday.
I am sure you will have fun if you join.....atleast your husband knows me!
