Hi,
I was going thru the application process on CIC website. I have some questions:
The checklist says
\"
Transcripts: original transcripts of all degrees must be submitted in universitysealed
envelopes.
• Professional qualifications certificates: notarized professional qualifications
certificates should be submitted if available. (e.g., Engineer, Computer
Programmer, Accountant, Economist, Translator/Interpreter, Architect etc.)
\"
1. what are these transcripts. I studied B.Tech and M.Tech. Do I need to get something extra from unversities?
2. what are these notarized qualification certificates? Do I need to get that for all my unversity degrees?
In the work experience section, it says:
\"notarized employment contracts from your present and past employers,
accompanied by an English or French translation
\"
what r these contracts?
Do I need to get these from my employer?
Can someone please give some detailed explanation.
I'm working in Canada now on a work permit, and may not be able to get all the notarized stuff now.
Thanks.
If you're on a work visa, are you planning to take a course in a university or something?
Cannot guide you about work ex but cud tell you about the transcripts...
transcripts are a a jist of your marks which are on your marksheets obtained from the university.
with the university/ college header the marks are put on a sheet (normally of A4 size paper) in a summary form so that its easier for the concerned people to go through them, to avoid confusion in going through your marksheets be it semester wise / yearly. These are signed by the registrar. and then he seals the envels and signs them too, for the proof that they have not been tampered with.
Normally transcripts are required when applying for further admissions in university programs. So the "original" ones can be received from your college/ university only, as they need to stamp to the marks on the sheet.

Thanks.
I'm not applying for any unversity course here in Canada.
I came here on work permit and working in an Indian company.
Now I'm planning to apply for immigration.
so my question is: do we need these so called transcripts of degrees or notarized employment contracts for applying for immigration?
You wouldn't need transcripts for applying for immigration thats out of question.

Thanks a lot.
OKIE.. here is my input.. You must have a job offer from your employer in which your salary, start and end of contract must be there... U need to get a notarized copy of that paper.... thats wat is employment contract...
and Maple sorry to intervene but transcript is required. If you don't submit in university sealed envelopes, the immigration guys will enquire from your Univ... a time delaying process... I suggest if possible arrange transcripts also..
I don't have any arrangement with any employer.
I just want to apply for immigration just like any other person, the only different being I'm already in canada on work permit.
so my question now is:
do I have to put notarized copies for anything at all?
