My friend just now completed her medicals and was told that the visa will be sent in 45 days. He wants to know whether this will be sent to his address ( IMM1000 is dicontinued as far as I know ) or will they get a letter based on which they may have to get their visas stamped.

I have three questions:

1. For a family of two (no kids), and if both partners are earning minimum wages, how much savings is possible after tax deduction and all living costs -- either in Calgary or Halifax?

2. How much tax is deducted from minimum wage earners?

3. Is it a 5 day week / 8 hours a day scenario for most minimum wage earners?

I do not think you would be able to save anything if only one of you works. Savings would depend on what is your lifestyle. You might be able to save about 200-300 dollars if both of you are working.

Please do not try converting dollars to rupees as it does not work that way here. Rupees would count only when you go back to India either for a visit or permanently.
