hello everyone
I don't know much about canada. but as from my relatives, friends and a short period which I spent in barrie, ontario. I think canada is the best place to live in provided that you have following things and you do it in a right way:-
1) Money:- yes, we all must admit this, that somewhere there in our heart we know that the primary reason for immigration to Canada is money. No matter how badly we want it, but yes we want it. And to earn this money we need to have a job.
a)Job:- every one say that most of Indians living here are in labor jobs. Yes, that is true. But their are also immigrants who are very well establish here. Why not we people look after them as a role model instead of looking after laborers. And even the people who are working as a labor are getting good earnings. giving you a example I have a sikh relative who was an engineer here in India, after going there he worked as a taxi driver then as a driver of a truck, later he bought a truck for himself and now he owns a transport company running 10 trucks. The thing is he did it all in 10yrs time but he never complained about Canada, its culture, its people, its govt. and he always smyled and say that it was his dream to settle in canda and he has no regret of that. the thing is he was hard worker, he know his destination like arjun and he worked on it. and he told me one thing that dear if you want to be succesful in a foreign land the thing you need to do is start adopting to their culture and don't forget yours. If they eat beaf and we worship it back home (sorry if i hurt anyones sentiment), start adopting yourself to the conditions or you will never be successful in a foregin land. and in the end he said, if you can't do this, then better to go back to your homeland.
this is the little story that I want to share with you guys, who says canada is not a better place to come. If you don't like this place why not you people go back to your homeland. (please don't take it wrong way around). If you even go back new immigrants will arive and maybe they payback their favor to this country for allowing them to be the part of Canada.
Maybe on reply to my post some people will say that they are here because of their childrens. No guys I don't think so, I too have daughter but it is just an excuse. Yeah every parent is a well wisher of his/her children but we all know that we can't keep them happy by killing ourself daily (by killing here I mean by giving mental harrasment to ourself by thinking negative about this country every second).
I am ending this post here, in a hope to see a positive response from you people.

HI friend,
Ur sharing is nice. It gives a idea about the need of positive attitude in any environment. It also gave me an idea about the need of adaptation to change. I am one of those Indian youth who r in the contemplation mode of migration. So ur article has helped me understand that it will be finally my hardwork ( or say Karma) and my ability to adapt to change which will forge my furture ( destiny).
The only reason for my living India is time. Making big in India will take time which I think I dont have.
So lets see where I move from here.
Love all,
Sai.

Dear All,
Writing after a long a time. Life has become busy more then before. Doing a double role of JOB and BUSINESS is a tough task. Yes, I took a job with a BANK (the same job, which they did not give me due to our NEW status and lack of credit history). I do my business in the evening hours. So its like 8 AM to 10 PM work schedule.
Sorry guys, its been days with you all so I started putting down everything..
I would like to add...
"DETERMINATION" - Be it any kind of phase comes, be prepared to fight it out...
"FOCUSED APPROACH"- Take a task in hand and complete it...I remember passing the LLQP exams twice in 39 days...
Thats all from me now...
Best of luck to all.
VJ.
I like to thankyou all who are sharing their positive approach for new immigrants.
I just visited a thread here on canadian desi, TOP EIGHT REASONS NOT TO IMMIGRATE TO CANADA which is copied from http://www.canadiandesi.com." rel="nofollow">LINK and now I give you one more site please visit that in your free time, http://www.canadafirst.net." rel="nofollow">LINK
With the growing power of internet everyone is free to share his/her thoughts. Like we are sharing ours on this forum. the websites like notcanada.com and canadafirst.com are also maintained by some within our communtiy. and their target is to stop immigration and put a negative approach about canada in the mind of new and going to be immigrants. and they are very succesful in changing the approach of people. by reading such articles everyday, atleast 1 man/women change his/her mind of coming or settling in canada. It can be easily seen in threads of canadiandesi.com people copy articles like top eight reasons........... and paste them here. few people (even asians) if not more in canada who got immigrated think that immigration should be stoped immediately so that they are the only one left to do those white collar jobs. there is no harm in thinking so, but they should not forgot their days when they were strugling to come here. most of such people have only taste failure in their life. and they will not have success for long time untill their approach is positive.
so here I am posting my reply to top eight reasons not to immigrate to canada.
8) Discriminatory and Dishonest Immigration System.
Immigration to Canada is based on a point system, obtained with your education, qualifications and job experience. Points are good enough for immigration, but in Canada, they are not good enough to get a job in your field. Amazing, how the credentials that qualify you to come to Canada are the same credentials that don't qualify you for your profession in Canada. The reason is, Canada only wants immigrants to do the labor jobs - pizza delivery, driving taxis, factory work etc.
NO, it was never written in the immigration form or their guide, that they are also giving job to new immigrants. and its not a package which includes a job, good salary, ur immigration, a house. they are very clear about saying that you should have enough funds for supporting atleast you and your family for first 6 months. and they are also saying that very clearly, that you may have to work in other occupation then ur previous studies. or you need to update your studies to canadian standard. and its true, suppose you are in india then have u ever seen people working in management positions from study background of kenya, africa, or other such countries. same thing applicable here, how can they offer hi tech jobs to people with no or very little canadian experience (job, study, living). so please make up ur mind before coming to do jobs like pizza delivery, driving taxis, factory work etc as long as u don't update urself to canadian standards. It can be work experience, studies etc. giving u example of my other uncle who is in USA, he owns a paint company their, and when I visited him and I saw people washing their bathrooms themself. and I asked him, he replied that it is part of their work even him. they all do such work turn by turn. and they got paid equally for this. so their is no harm in doing a pizza delivery job untill you think of society around you.
7) Out Of Control Cost Of Living.
From rent, to utility bills, to shopping, to phone, internet and cable bills, to gas, to car insurance, to eating out, to basically anything you have to pay for or buy, the cost of living in Canada has become astronomical. Recent immigrants are astonished as to how expensive everything is. It is estimated that compared to most countries around the world, the cost of living in Canada is on average five times greater
yeah true, if you want to have a good standard of living (as per UN report canada has better living standard then any other country) then you need to pay for it. same like back home, if you want to have a house in porche locality then you have to pay some more bucks. everything costs money dear and money comes from hard work.
6) Health Care Crisis.
Practicing physicians in Canada are in a shortage, 1 in 4 Canadians cannot get a family doctor. Canadian doctors are leaving to move permanently to the United States. Statistics Canada and the Canadian Medical Association both have identified that for every 1 American doctor that moves to Canada, 19 (nineteen) Canadian doctors move to the United States! Doctors in Canada are overworked and underpaid, and there is a cap on their salaries.
yeah true but like we all know payscale in USA is more then in Canada. and who wants to miss this golden chace, will you miss it if u are offered a citizenship and good pay in USA? Even the writer of this article in notcanada.com is currently living in USA (its written there in this article). the other thing is canadian govt is trying hard to attract more medical proffesionals from USA and other part of world. but the thing came at the 8 pt again, they also need a licence to practise. But I still think that health care in canada is better then in India. atleast no one is lying on bed waiting for treatment in hospital while doctors are busy drinking coffee in their rooms. atleast a police report is not being asked before giving treatment to persons met with any accident, rape or anything where a report is required.
5) Very High Taxes.
Yes, you have the GST, the PST, totaling 15%, on practically everything you purchase and many other taxes taken out of our weekly paycheck. You have to pay a whopping amount to the government, out of your hard earned salary, so that the government can turn around and give it to beer drinking, hockey watching welfare bums. Fair? It does not matter, it's Canada.
Yes true but don't we pay sales tax and vat (value added tax) back home, total comes out to be near about 12 or 13% in India also. But here atleast you are getting what you pay, not like in india where sometime we are given 2nd hand things on the price of new once. and we come to know about such fraud after coming back home or maybe never. and the shopekeeper never return his thing.
4) Money Hungry Government.
Canadian Embassies around the world lie to foreigners, painting this picture that Canada is Utopia, because they want foreigners to come to Canada. Why? Because foreigners bring money! So after being deceived, these foreigners come. They must bring with them at least $10,000. Canada has an immigration quota of 250,000 per year. So please do the math, 250,000 multiplied by $10,000 each equals a whopping 2.5 Billion dollars that Canada gains from immigrants every year.
I asked where new immigrants get deceived? Are we paying the money we are bringing to the govt? yes indirectly but for the well being of ourself. don't we need food, water, money to survive in a foreign land. Is the writter of such notcanada.com is going to give us that money. and y should govt pay for us? we are responsible for taking a decision of migration to canada, they didn't came to our door and gave us the visa.
3) No Culture.
Unlike almost every other country in the world, Canada has no culture. Actually American culture is what dominates Canada. When was the last time you had some 'Canadian' food? There are no Canadian traditions and there is no national identity. What does it even mean to call yourself a 'Canadian'. . .nothing really. People living in Canada, still identify themselves as to where they 'originally' came from.
is this author mad? don't he see on every canadian govt thing u visit, canada is a multi cultural. and it is very true, u see sikhs, hindus, christians and some other religions and even homosexuals(canada has allowed homosexuality). and I feel proud of this thing.
It is better to have no culture and traditions if you only learn riots like in gujarat, 84 sikh riots, and many more. so it is good thing that poeple in canada keep themself away from all this. and our children don't learn such things. atleast I feel good about that.
2) Worst Weather.
Yes, Canada has the worst weather conditions of any country in the world. Freezing cold temperatures, snow, ice, hail, winds, storms etc. From the Prairie provinces to the Maritimes, from the Territories to southern Ontario, the weather is so horrific and disgusting that many Canadians leave Canada simply because of this reason alone.
very true and I can't do anything much bout this but can't you see clean streets and good air to breathe here then back home where it is pollution every where.
1) No Jobs.
Yes, coast to coast, there are no jobs. Immigrants are highly qualified (MD's, PhD's, Lawyers, Engineers etc.) but they are driving taxi cabs, delivering pizza's or working in factories. Even people with bachelors degrees from Canadian Universities cannot find jobs after graduation. This is the tragedy associated with immigration to Canada. I feel sorry for those immigrants who are stuck in Canada for the rest of their lives. It is indeed a very sad and hopeless future.
This point I have already discussed in my first post in this thread. so no need to write it down all over again and waste time.
Hope I have made a good contribution in this post by trring to give u guys (especially new immigrants) a postive approach towards life and others. and I request u people of not taking seriously threads and articles like TOP EIGHT REASONS NOT TO IMMIGRATE TO CANADA.
note:- I have try to write this post very fast, so please don't go by the mistakes in english and spelling I made here.
thank you all
