i have few pirated software CDs (viz. MS Office, PhotoShop, VisulalBasic etc) for my personal use. is it possible to take it with me without any hassle through vancouver airport

They did not check even our faces!!!

They will check only if you sound confused or worried. One immigrant was even tasered to death as he did not speak any English (http://www.cbc.ca/canada/british-columbia/story/2007/10/18/bc-taser.html). Hope this isn't going to be problem for you.

I have taken a few CDs here and there yes. Not a problem. It is only if you have a suitcase full of 'em that you may raise some eyebrows...

Well I know atleast 2 persons personally ( One from India another from Pakistan). Their suitcases were opened for inspection and they were carrying pirated CDs, In both the cases Officers were kind enogh to dispose the CDs in the garbage and let these ppl go.

So be careful and prepared for anything. I dont know why would someone bring CDs from India or Pakistan.......... please fill up the blanks
