Tens of thousands of people going to / coming from Pearson Intl Airport easily every day by using Taxis/Rented Vehicles etc..
Why the OP is thinking /making this as a big issue inviting suggestions from CDs?

With 280 views and counting, and 10 responses, there must be something of interest in this post, right?

When we travel to/from Pearson(IMO a very poorly connected international airport for such a 'great' city as Toronto), clearly we look for the best way to get there.

No harm in sharing views.

In downtown they used to hand out fliers for car rentals by the hour. I think they charge like eight to 10 bucks per hour. You could rent the car, drop off the family with luggage and return the car. Then you take a bus to Airport.

So as you can see, this option has some running around to do.

Taxi fares in North America are ridiculous. With four suitcases and a handbag, I doubt if it can be done in one trip. Unless one has an expense account, it certainly pinches the wallet.

Why don't you(ORIGINAL POSTER) strike a deal with a CD who has a car(and commutes in that route)? Pay the person instead of some cab company or invite him/her for lunch when you return from the trip. Everybody wins. :car :D

If one person is going to airport, he/she will be paying 40-100 bucks for the taxi from within GTA one way.

If a 4 member family is going, which means 8 checkins + 4 carry ons, gotto get a big van which costs more (or two cabs). Airport taxi's don't allow luggage to be carried in the cabin space - only in the trunk.

Compare this with $20 per ride for shuttle from downtown.
