how does imigration interview get waived??
someone told me that 75 points gets waiver?

This is my personal experience and based on information I got from my firends .
Waiver is a complete "LUCK" ..
I know guys with min points getting waiver and guys with high points still attending interview ..

as per my experience it depends on the background of the applicant.
the background includes, education, work ex, family status and IELTS score.
although they can't call u to see english profiency by conducting Interview, but they do call to check if ur IELTS score is genuine or not. and there is always a reason for conducting an interview, which is written in CAIPS notes.
person's who are engineers, MBA's and doctors (here in mean professional) gets maximum interview waivers. as the visa officer gets impressed by their files.
similarly person working in mnc or renowned company has greater chance of waiver then someone in local company.
luck also plays important role, but it is also ur luck if it get struck at right time.
