shankaracharya, I agree with you what you saying. For jobs/technology/money (only few jobs) India is good in few cities. Yes you are right I am from IT and never been India in last 4 yrs. Planning to go this Diwali.
I am not pessimistic but that is my personal view.
This is my personal view, I have problem with people there. Means relatives/friends/friend's parent they ask so many questions always. If you are not married everybody wants to find a girl for you if you are doing good job. It seems like anybody visit your home ask first question to your parent "Ladka ki saadi kab kar rho ho" and start telling girls. If you are in school, everybody wants to know how your preparation going for entrance or school records. If you are married but not having kids for 2 yrs everybody want to give you doctor's name and "Baba ki babuti" so you can have "SON". This is not related to job that is some bad part of culture.
We never calculate the cost of clean water/clean air/civilized people that keep distance in queue/never smoke in bus/wait to come other people out then go in train/. If you go in local train in Delhi area at office time, there are more milk buckets in train than human in few bogies and people are standing on milks boxes wearing Arrow shirts. Still in good salary (not ceo/cto) nobody can afford house in South Delhi (GK, Friends colony, Defense colony, Vasant Vihar) where life is near to west and most of the people have some manners.
Last view point, if our daughters/wife want to go for cycling/walk/running/swimming in India where then can go. Mostly men in India see the girl like they will eat the whole girl/lady. What you expect that our daughters/wife can go for swim short in pool with other ladies/men are swimming or hiking/running in shorts.
When I was n Delhi for me fun means expensive shopping/movie on PVR/beer in TGIF/dinner in connught place/ having 2-3 girls in hand all time/having good car. I never knew that cycling/hiking/swimming/beautiful view like I am sitting in my office and seeing Mountains is more fun. Those things are not there and if I tell my friends in India thatt I like to do in US/Canada they laugh on me. For them fun means f****ing white girls/going night clubs/striptease/BMW/good clothes is fun in America. Even who visit for few months here for vistior visas (even IT guys) for them same thing.
