isnt it amazing, how things move so smoothly without any "external" regulation..?????????

But I refuse to be blown off my feet by any.
It is an interesting video. It looks as if it is a mess. If you look carefully it has an unwritten rule. All the bigger vehicles move very slowly with care, where as scooters motorcycles move as fast as possible. When all vehicles move as a line the opposite side traffic stops.

This video reminds us one of the benefits of living Canada

i wouldnt say a benefit, but a more apt term woulb be the "difference"...

That's a great video!
Couple of things come to mind
1) Gabbar singh's "Jo dar gaya, samjo mar gaya" . You can see there's a couple of guys who hesitate and then create a line behind them.
2) Bee-hive. And I borrow this from the ABC reporter who did a great report on Outsourcing and India currently titled "India Rising". His quote was something like "Despite the chaos, despite all odds, somehow, things get done!". Link here http://www.canadiandesi.com/read.php?TID=12007&page=1#69830
"Benefit" or "difference"? That's a great example of perspective. For me, its a "benefit" living in Canada and not being part of this. I don't think I have it in me to handle that on a daily basis. But I do enjoy the "difference" whenever I make a trip to India. Its a free roller-coaster ride everyday

BL,
the gabbar singh analogy is totally true !!!
i always have it in mind when i drive , and always have thought of Indian traffic on similar lines.
the other analogy is very apt too, and its not only true about traffic, but applies to anythin, and everythin about india..... even in Canada, i PROUDLY say that the best quality/asset/skill/etc. that i have is..... No matter what the odds, i can get the job done !!!
i try not to get into the discussions about the hardships faced by people in canada, the new immigrants i mean, but at times, i wonder.... if only they had the same attitude that they did earlier, when they beat all the odds to survive each day (i m not at all criticising the Indian life, infact, i love it too !!!), it probably wouldn't be sooo hard for them here.....
the "benefit", or the "difference" ???...as u said, its a matter of having different perspectives, but i think you probably are overlooking the fact that by labelling it a "benefit", is having SOME sort of a perspective..... but by saying its "different" i m not judging it AT ALL.
