Hi Friends,
I am an immigrant in Canada for the past 2 1/2 years. I recently got married to a Girl in INDIA. It was an arranged marriage. She was staying with my parents and within 3 months the things have gone that bad that we have decided to take a divorce. From the reactions of her parents and other relatives its now obvious that the girl's intention to marry me was solely to get her Residence in CANADA.
Now that i have applied for her PR what should i do. The file has moved to India and on the ECAS it shows in Process.
Will it create any problems in future if i withdraw my sponsership. Will my parents application also be affected with it. Will i have problems when i get married again and apply for her PR.
I know it sounds strange when it comes to even think of divorce within 3 months of marriage but my life is shattered right now and i can't understand what to do.
Hoping to get some helpfull advices from fellow desis.
thanks
candesi
You should CIC and check with them the proper procedure to wthdraw spousal sponsership on grounds that she married you to get permanent residence in Canada.
Withdrawing sponsership to your current spouse should not cause any problems for your in sponsering another girl in future.

Did you pay the landing fee $975 or what ever the reduced fees?

AS i was not expecting this to happen i paid the landing fees also. I paid the complete $975 and the processing fees also.
If your spouse doesn't land in Canada, you can get a refund of the landing fee. The moment you notify CHC, Delhi about the changed circumstances, they should stop the PR process for your spouse.

A similar thing happened to a friend a few years ago. Those days the processing time was around 12 months. But after marriange she changed her mind and choose her career vs marriage. My friend called CIC and got the application cancelled. The ROLF will be refunded in full, but not the visa application fees.
