Oh for pete's sake..

I think its apparent that I was being sarcastic at the OP's comments that massage parlours are canadian 'social evils'.

Where in the world would you *not* find things like this?

Why is it a "Canadian" social evil?

Mails4Sagar,
Thanks for the reassuring mail. If only people write in a straight forward way, the world might be a better place to live in.

B'cos of the rates and the language used to cheat gullable people !
In other places, you could visit these places and still be rich/ maintain your high fi lifestyle.
In Canada and other developed places, you could blow your one weeks pay cheques at one session alone. (that was what the OP tended to convey).
Besides , this country offers LOC's (line of credits)/ Interest free loans to induce people to use it and pay back later. So it is like a debt trap. The OP was trying to warn the weak hearted not to indulge in things like this.
What do you say to the 1-900 calls existing? Can the police do something about this?

The sarcasm on the thread WAS "apparent"....but i just thought it would get the point across to TK better if he could put it in the context of his "own state".
(and it seems to have worked)......

It certainly is not a Canadian phenomenon, and i m not sure if i agree with the "evil" part of it.....

We could put it on the next election agenda...making 1900 phonecalls and massage parlours affordable to the lay man. Maybe even kid friendly.
