My two kids are addicted to Pepsi and Coca-Cola and I planned to break their addiction.
I tried this concotion and was very sucessful in breaking their addiction.
The chaas we prepare at home is of two variant, the one hot and spicy is for the adults while the one without the chillies are for the kids.
Take about two or three cups of Yoghurt and mix water of about eight to ten cups, if you want stronger than you can reduce the water content. Mix this thoroughly, to it you can add about a dash of salt, another dash of asofetida and mix it thoroughly. To this you can add a few drops of lime juice. This can be stored on the dining table top and your children can take a few cups whenever they feel thirsty. Some people add sugar also if their children like it a bit sweet.
For adults you can take 3 to 4 green chillies, little of curry leave, make a semi solid paste on your mixie and add it to the above chaas and drink it. Some people add Pudhina also to the paste.
You could add a few cilantro leaves on the top of the chaas for appearance and a change in taste.
This would help your children to break the cola habit and also helps to have a hygienic drink which also acts as an electrolyte during summer.
If others have additions/deletions/alternative recipes to the chaas recipe, please suggest.
Happy Summer !

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
