I am using Comwave and pay 7.9 cents to landline or cell. monthly 1.99 charge but they send you a 25 cad gift certificate besides 2 bucks isnt much to pay as my normal monthly bills to india are CAd 100-150 +. so its a big savings for me. plus the call quality is good.

I checked with sears for their long distance. It is a steal for those who regularly call landlines in India, UK and other countries as covered in the list. Highly recommended. However, please note the following shortcomings - which can be circumvented by some imaginative thinking

1. The call rates for cell phone to India is 0.59 / min - billed extra - even if you have spare minutes, they are billed extra.

2. For every no. you register, you need to pay 23.99 / month - limitation for me as I call from home, cell or office.

3. Cannot call from cell at all.

4. For those who are under contract with Bell/rogers for long distance 'MAY' have penalty charges.

So it is a good idea to sign up if you can handle these issues effectively.
