Hi,
I have applied for immigration form Delhi. My husband is my dependant.
I understand that you can get the medicals done form anywhere in the world.
But is it same with visa stampling too?
My husband keeps travelling aborad and I'm afraid that if the passport request comes, he might not be in India for some 6 months.
In that case can he do the visa stamping form some other country's Canadian Ambassy, or he has to send passport to Delhi for stamping.
Thanks in advance
Sejal
Most Lilkely he has to send his passport in Delhi for visa stamping.
All Canadian embassies are completely independent for VISA purposes. Still the same LAW is applied to all but RULES are different countrywise.
Anyway, your husband can not stamp the visa in any other country than country where you have applied. IF the medical has been done then you should get the passport request within 2 months or less. Once you get the letter, you husband need to send the passport to you. He can not send passport directly to embassy as the principal applicant and dependent's passports MUST BE submited together. so once you receive it, send both passport to Delhi.
Once you get the passport and landing document back, keep both landing document with you and just send passport back to your husband. Just in case so it doesnt get lost on the way.
If your husband is planning to come to Canada directly from other country then you need to send the landing document to him. MAKE SURE THAT HE CAN NOT ENTER TO CANADA BEFORE YOU. The principal applicant has to enter first or you both can enter together. If he fly before you, he will not be allowed to enter the country.
