I also made mistake to take their services in 1999 but that time drilling info was not easy and computer/net was not common in India.

Yes Mr Rahul it is true during those days computer and internet were not common man reach., but today the trend in INDIA is different. We made mistake, atleast our brothers and sisters who are aspiring to apply for immgration should not get in to the trap of consultants who makes false commitments

Consultancy is kind of knowledge. Client always repent of using it. Every job is simple, after it is done. But not for the first time. See; one of our friend on this forum is thinking on stating this business of helping aspiring immigrants and imparting knowledge with motto of ‘making money’. That is exactly same agency is doing. They might charge big money but tell beforehand, what they are going to charge.
Anyway, my experience with them was different. They charged big money from me as usual. I knew filling form was simple until they did it for me. Now, there was some one to pick me up when I arrived at Toronto airport. It was late evening and I knew I had a place to sleep. I was not looking around like a lost person. The stress of abrupt changes around me was lessened when I would visit their office and could talk to people in the same mind setup as of mine there. Biggest thing was, I got my first break in my profession through them, which paved my way from labor jobs to engineering. And they helped lot to my family back in India with all the required paper works to join me. What more I could expect. Now of course all looks simple and costly.

One out of thousand may be the luckiest person who has been satisfied by the service of the organization for which they paid. But the reality is entirely different. There are many service organizations doing free service for all requirements of new immigrants. It is not the intention to say that no one not to use any consultant, but every one should give them the information that they can be on their own. That is the reality. While so why should waste money what normally spent on consultants US$ 2100 (Pre landing post landing service charges )+ Rs 30000 (Retainer fees) + CDN $ 550 (One Month Guest Room charge)... With this money you can do wonders.
(USD $2100x Rs45)+RS30000+ (CDN $550xRs40) = RS146500/40= CDN $ 3662.5 with this many one can survive for some time.
There are few rental offices doing all immigration services also for free including Airport Pickup.

I can see a clear distinction between US immigration attorneys and Canadian immigration consultants. Many famous US immigration consultants have sucessfully lobbied changes to US immigration rules that helped the immigrants in the past and are active even today.
We need more skilled labor like welders, electricians,construction workers etc and federal govt. still brings in more and more highly educated engineers etc who are not needed in massive numbers.
Canadian Immigration consultants seem to be not bothered about lobbying to correct these imbalances is supply and demand. Rather they are giving false promises to more and more immigrants every year.
