Dear all,
I am a Chemical Engineer graduate (2006 from Univ. of Toronto) and looking for related experience. I am exploring my opportunities in Calgary, and would greatly appreciate if i can get some input from the locals there regarding affordable housing (preferrably sharing an apartment/house/basement), job prospects, commuting, and just the general lifestyle in Calgary.
Thanks for your help!
Calgary is a very nice city to live - you will not regret it, especially if you are moving from Toronto. Buying a house will not be cheap. Apts are also not as expensive as in Toronto. Boardwalk is a good landlord. They have many apts in Calgary - (www.bwalk.com)
Job market is the same anywhere in Canada (in my opinion)...But for chemical engg, Calgary (or Alberta in general) is better.
Hope this helps..
