On sat. night I had been to Lahore Tikka House after tremendous recommendation by Desi's and in awe seeing the crowd there. It was not that good at all. Food was just medicore.
I went with another adult and we ordered Lamb Biriyani ($9), Chicken Tikka Masala($10) , Plain Naan ($1 each) and Lamb Kabab(%5.2 for 2). The Lamb biriyano was just OK , nothing to brag about. Rice was only 3/4 cooked. Chicken Tikka was good with it being very tamrind (which i liked but the other adult did not like). The Lamb Khaba was the most horrible that i have ever eaten (for best Kabab try the Iranian one on Young between FInch and steels-Known as super arzon-near the sleep country. It is very good and is just $5 for 2 kabab's (big) , rice and pop. Taxes are extra). The lamb Kabab each was around $2.60 and it was very small.
The only good thing is that food came immediately and was steaming hot. It was also served well. The Interrior is a tent and not clean. The washrooms are very good (new addition). Parking is free.
On the way out, we had Mango lassi which was $3.50 each and it was not sweet.
The bill for 2 people was $33 (incl. taxes). Since i paid the bill, I figured that i should have gone to a Buffet.
Conclusion - Lahore Tikka house is just an Ordinary restaurant for Desi's . Nothing to brag about.

Sidenote : During my visit there, there were 5 Gora's. They also ate just like us (meaning just one dish) but the waiters pampered them like hell. They also gave the group , one free Kulfi to try out. The waiter assigned to them was continuously with them.

Well perhaps, it is more of a concern to a luscious tips..
I could never forget a similar or even worse service in Singapore airport (I think it is known as Kaveri) received from the waiter (s), they took care of two caucausians like their babies for god's sake.
I think the mistake I did was, "I spoke in Tamil out of friggin impulse", unfortunately it was my wife's first trip abroad.
More than their curiosity (that is how I wish to call now), I think the tip matters.

I went to Lahore Tikka House around six or seven years ago. The food was really good at that time.
Couple of years ago I heard that he expanded his business and food quality is really bad. I could not take chance to go back.
We had been to Lahore Tikka House, a couple of months back and found the food very distasteful.
Recently went to "The Host" at Richmond Hill and found the food very good. Would strongly recommend their lunch buffet on weekends.
