Hi,
Can Internet connection cable when plugged in the TV work as a TV cable ?
Someone told me that if I plug it in my TV I will get the basic channels .

Fido.
Rogers here in GTA uses Filter - to filter out TV if you have only subscribed to Internet. But yes, its possible to get some of Basic Channels.
And no Harm in Trying. They wont put you behind bars or no Damage to TV. If it works - get a Splitter and enjoy both the worlds.

mostly the filter is in aprtment buliding ........and in that you not get the TV.
but in house they are not too much bother about filter and if you lucky then you get the as many channel like no 1 to 71. or up to 40 or less fortune then only basic.
in aprtment it is not possiblle but in house definetly work.
even you can bypass the filter in house bcos filter is in their conenction box.
If this works, is it possible for the internet provider to track and find out that you are viewing TV channels? Maybe one day they might send you a bill for viewing TV channels!!!!!!
I am in an Apartment Bldg and this worked ...... I am getting 8 basic channels .
Awaiting the provider to charge me now , in which case I would pay.
