Yes but they also give you $100/- cash back which you can use for breaking the contract after 1 yr ... So you break even on that ...

ANother option is Nfusion reciever + Dish Installation. It costs you 300 dollars but not reliable. It givess you around 14 desi chanels. And if it works for just 4 months, then you reach break even in terms of cost . A guy told me its not illegal in Canada, as we are getting channels from Internet (from Dishnet). And we are not violating Bell or Rogers. DIshnet service is not avaible in Canada, so it doesnt become illegal. Any comments are welcome.

The channels are not coming over the internet as you require the dish installation and the receiver. It is probably using internet for searching codes when it gets "zapped". Also you are not paying anything to Dishnet and it does not offer any services in Canada, so how does it become legal?

I believe Bell and Rogers have blocked their channels for dish. If you take FTA signal from an American satellite it should not be illegal here. Americans do not have jurisdiction across border and that is the reason they also changed their network to block channels.
Does any one knows Ultra2000 will ever work again? Thank you.

The last I heard (this past weekend) was K-BOX is working, but it is without the dish, signal is directly from the internet. Also, it offers only South Asian channels, not English channels.

I am not using any of these, reproducing just from hearsay.
