My mother-in-law got two years multiple entry visa to canada. Can she just buy one way ticket from India to come here and can we apply for her USA visitor visa from here so that she can cross the baorder and re-enter Canada, without going back to India??
Please guide!

-- Risky thing to do...First of all, US consulates do not issue a visitor's visa to Indians (foreigners) who are visitors to Canada. I know at least 2 cases (first hand info) who were asked to apply in their home country (India). Your mother-in-law will be lucky if she gets it.
Even if she gets it, she will most likely be "flagged" by cdn immigration authorities while shuttling between US-Canada - the intentions to renew the 6 months stay in Canada would be clear.
