Saw the first 30 minutes. Did not see Miss. USA's fall on the stage.
I wonder what an NFL quaterback and a former figure skater have got to do with this pageant? They were two of the judges. Including a guitarist. I dont get it. When Big B produced the Miss World pageant years back, there was Amir Khan and Sanat Jayasuriya as judges.

Ms.India - Pooja Gupta was a wrong choice. Her evening gown was pathetic. Looked like the Rupees 10 desi night gown you buy at the foot path of Karol Bagh. She scored 7.9 while Miss USA made 8.7 even after the fall.
It was all rigged and it was exciting to see Ms.Venezuela and Ms.USA fighting it out on the same stage.
Did not watch the last 30 min as switched to our favorite comic Mind over Mencia on Comedy Central and saw the WWF fight between Shiv/Buddha/Moses/Jesus and L.Ron Hubbard of Scientology.

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
Totally agree that it was rigged. I saw it till the end. When the answers were given both me and my husband said the answer by Ms. Japan was so lame that she will the irst one to be eliminated. She was crowned Ms Universe.
Ms India Puja Gupta was so uncomfortable in her gown that she was holding side of the gown all the time. Reminded me of ladies in India holding the gathers of their sarees in monsoon.
Her eye makeup was also awful.
