Hi Guys,
I am a great Jagjit Singh's fan. If you're also the one, let's talk about this guy here - his shows, concerts, ghazals. Man, he's simply great. I am yet to find any other entertainer at par with this guy. I've been to 2 of his concerts in New Delhi, and unfortunately missed one of his last year in Vancouver. I am looking forward for his next visit here.
Come on guys, let's talk about the king of Ghazals - Jagjit Singh. I am of the view that 'Jagjit Singh ke baarey mein jitna kaha jaaye utna kam hey.' Also, some people say his 'this' ghazal or 'that' ghazal is good. I believe when Jagjit Singh sings, everything comes to life.
keep posting any of his Canadian concerts' dates and venues here.
Let all the Jagjit's fans unite.
Preet...
I really enjoy Jagjit Singh's Ghazals.
I was lucky enough to have first row centre seat tickets to a show once..
However he got drunk as the night progressed and started getting weird.
I didnt enjoy it..it wasnt a nice mood..it catered to punjabi music TOO much.
I prefer listening to ghazals on cd .. I dont enjoy live shows much.

Hi to all...
In his last two concerts in GTA he showed up drunk for one and in another he was drinking during the concert and had to be escorted out.

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"

I saw him live at the Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto. My wife and I were all geared up for the concert and the show was such a letdown it was disheartening. The idiot kept jumping from one song to another and never sang any one of them completely and of course the second half was full of punjabi songs...not that I have anything against it.

Regardless of whether he drinks on stage or not, sings Punjabi or Hindi, acts weired or normal, I still love his concerts. He's a true performer. I am not sure about you guys, but I have seen the audience very much enjoy in the concert hall and wherever he performs.
As I mentioned above, I am a blind fan of his for whatever and wherever he sings and so do my whole family and all the friends in India, Australia, US, and Canada.
