If this is the case, then we should feel pity for Hinduism.

After few weeks this guy may turn against 'Hinduism' and may advocate for some thing else as he has done in the case of Sonia and Jayalalitha!

Dr. SS has nothing new to add to this old and tired idea. The idea of making India a "hindustan" is as old as the mountains. It has nothing to with Hinduism or the promotion of the Hindu way of life or even add a tiny bit of positive thinking in hindu philosophy. Nothing at all.

The idea of hindustan may resonate with some close-minded Indians (NRI or otherwise), history has shown that uniting people and unity makes country stronger. Divisive ideology as spewed by Dr.SS definately sells more books but history has shown that it does not build empires.

I think progressive Indians (NRI or otherwise)should promote the idea of uniting India into its pre-partition borders. That is the real challenge India faces in this century. And why not?

*Case and point our own chief minister of Andhra Pradesh wanted to give out 3 hills of the Tirumala temple for various construction projects and when he was in Chicago he was the ghareod by the strong Telugu NRI group and he had to retreat and promulgate a ordinance to make them the hills state territory.

*Debunk the theory of this Aryan -Dravidian divide promulgated along with the North -South divide which was promulgated by the British by falsely manufacturing information to suite their individual needs of divide and rule India.

* Make the concept of Hindustan, which is the land of Hindus and Hinduism known as sanatana dharma.

2.Enlightened Secularism and common heritage.

3.Uniform Civil Code for India.

4.Economic Reform under Globalization: Throwing out the Nehruvian Agenda and bringing in the one propagated by Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhai Patel.

5.National Security Doctorine.

Plan of Action:

Unite all the Hindus by bringing together all the Sants, Gurus, Swamis, Acharyas, Adigalars, Adheenams and other religious leaders under one umbrella. This will be purely based on Hindu lines and not on any caste/communities or other division. Guide the Hindus to vote as one vote bank and not to split the votes. The guy who gets the Hindu votes enblock will be the guy who pursues the Hindu agenda. There has been a group formed and it will be expanded by bringing many others under one umbrella. The group will be meeting for the third time in Bangalore in November 2007, which includes the various Acharyas, Sri.Ravishankar to name a few.This would later have the support and blessings of various SUPER STARS in various fields & languages!.

If you do not trust me for the a few points presented, please wait and watch till the next general elections in India.

So Dr Swamy has a panacea for all the ills of bharat mata?

I am not surprised, or even amused. Every politician who comes in the garb of a Saviour is a wolf in a sheep's clothing. As for Dr Swamy, I have been following his evolution in politics, his escapades, and his lack of any principles. He would ask the people to vote for Jayalalitha, and then would launch a tirade against her because she wouldn't agree with him........ such is the man who will save India.

I don't know how to react........

I wonder if Shankaracharya does indeed believe that this miracle man will bring the change we need in India............. or is it that he just posted this article to start a small storm?

Like Big vee said, that if one wishes to bring a sea change in India, we should think of re-writing our international borders to the Pre 1947 era. Which politician has the moral courage to even suggest this?

Which politician can even suggest that we have a uniform civil code in India?
That we scrap archaic laws laid down in the 1800's and early 1900's?
That we scrap the reservation system for the so called SC'S and ST's and give everyone an opportunity to excel?

Which politician will risk his career to say that the decision to reorganize states based on language (1956) was a colossal mistake?

We do not want anyone to revive hinduism. It is vibrant, alive and will continue to be so. Hindus are tolerant unlike some religions that preach violence against anyone that disagrees.

I have rarely come across a politician who puts his country's interest first.

I wish I was wrong about what I feel about the state of bharat mata today.

I agree with most of what you say .... however why do you feel the need to have the international borders to pre-1947 era.
India in its present form has been there because the basic shell for it was provided by British India and was completely formed by adding the princely states. At no time in history was India as it is in its preset form. Though we have shared a common culture , hertige and to some extent religion over many centuries but the coming together of India (in its present boundaries) was never in history of medival India.
I think we should concentrate on strengthining of the India we have rather then talk about changing boundaries that make no sense.
Another point i would like to make is that, I think India a very good example of how a muli- cultural world can work as a mosaic. Look at the various states of India , each one of them have been able to preserve its individual character and language . I dont agree that the division of the country along lingual lines was a mistake. I think it has been one of the reason for India's strength. That an individual does not have to have a national language but can work & live in his native language.
