An open question to the CD's:

1.Why did NOT our PM of GOI have any \"SLEEPLESS NIGHTS\" even after 44 people dead ?.

2.Where is our National Poet & Movie Song Writer Condemning this act ?.

3.Why is the AP CM blaming other nations when people were busy planting 50 bombs, attacking and giving out death threat to the B'Desi writer ?.

Relevance to you in Ontario and also how you can make a difference ?.

Please VOTE on October 10, 2007 in the provincial election and vote \"NO\" on funding of faith based schools. If we need a strong and one CANADA then you should not let it go the Indian way. Let us all accept CANADA is a Christian nation and we will keep our culture/religion and other displays within our house doors and not make it a divisive issue. If they start funding faith based schools do you recognize where it will all END?.

I was really happy when I heard that the http://www.swaminarayan.org/news/usa/2007/07/toronto/july22.htm was built without any government support. Let us not get any form of government support/grant/handout for any form of religious project and let us keep the Church & State separate. If you do not get any money from the government, nobody can finger point at you and ask you questions. Yes many of my friends who have visited this temple and also the Atlanta temple recently featured in CNN have come out wide eyed but ask me the question how come this costed only $40 Million ?. To which I can proudly explain to him the movement of the marble, value addition excercise and also answer to him that there was none of your TAX money. We should not be forced to answer question when another person would ask us why my hard earned tax money is spent on your religious activity rather to spend it on our healthcare.

Let us have a strong Canada and stronger India.

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....

"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"

Thanks for bringing this topic to the attention of CD's.

I agree with shankaracharya that we have too much religion in this planet and less secularism.
IMHO, The only religion mankind needs now is ...Science.

Religion is based on belief. Science is based on facts.

Yes, I want to say NO to Faith Based School. Even today your TAX is going to Christian Schools - do you think McGuinty has heart/courage to stop Funding to Christian Schools as well?
Again, I come from Digital World - it has to be either 0 or 1. If it is not Good to have Hindu/Islam/Jewsih Schools - why encourage Christians Schools?

I am, in no way, supporting conservatives. Infact, they are trapped by Bringing religion in Politics. Its easy to get Vote - but is it really necessary?

And BTW, no mater where you are - trick is always to find Least Worst.

I agree completely with you guys. Religion is everyone's personal matter. Please keep it out of schools. NO to Faith based schooling please.

Anything can be pursued to the point of a dogma. This is true even for science.

e.g: Science itself needs to coexist with ethics to be relevant to humankind as we know it, be it genetic manipulation or plastic surgery. If ethics are abandoned in scientific pursuit, science can be as good or bad as organized religion.

Ethics concerns 'right' and 'wrong', 'good' and 'evil', 'values' etc... and for a lot of people is closely linked to religion.

sorry for the digression...but just food for thought, since it can be relevant to the discussion.
