Please advice..

I applied for my mothers PR in june 2008 and received an acknowledgement. Now i want to invite her on a visit visa. her visa has been rejected 3 times already so i contacted
an immigration consultant and she made affidavit for me which states that since she is visiting USA to meet her sister and i would like to invite her to visit me during christmas holidays and also that i have applied for her sponsorship and the consultant wants me to attach the sponsorship agreement with it as a proof.
I need to know is that format ok coz i am very much skeptical about this..

pls help..

Is that true or would you be lying?
In other words, if CHC were to ask your mother to provide proof of US visa, travel iteranary for US and her sister's details, would she be able to provide those?

There is no format, really.
It's just a signed declaration that you are doing.
CHC will treat it for what it is - a signed declaration from you.
It means squat to them - they will re-evaluate her case and take into account your declaration as well.
She may get the visa this time, or she may not - no guaranteed way to guess.

One thing that /may/ be helpful is if she gets a US visa on her passport based on her sister's invitation (assuming the story is true).

ok the scenario is that my mother has a 10 yr multiple entry visa for usa and she has visited washington last year 2007. again she will be visiting her sister this dec 2008 and based on this the affidavit is made that since she is already visiting usa , i would like to invite her to visit me in canada.
the main question is should i include in the invitation letter stating that i have sponsored my mother or should i not include since i have sponsored her in june 2008.

one more question is that her visit visa was rejected for canada last year and in the application form they ask you whether you were rejected a visa and reason for it. since you all know that the reasons given by the embassy are vague ones so what should i write lack of funds or no ties or what.

hope my situation is clear and pls all you experts give me some advice.

You have to - you don't have a choice.
There is a question on the form asking whether anyone has ever sponsored an immigration visa for you.
In that question, your mother will have to say yes and then in the details section, mention that you have sponsored her.

No, don't make things up on your own.
Just quote whatever the refusal letter had said.
If it said, lack of funds, then sure say that.

There is no harm in doing a signed declaration that you will support your mother during her visit.

It does happen often that CHC will issue visa after several attempts - I guess it depends on the particular visa officer.
It is similar to LBW decision of a cricket umpire ;)

My question to pratickm is..

i will be answering yes in the question which says have you ever applied ..
but do i have to include in sponcosrship letter as well or no. isnt it that just answering in the appln form would serve the purpose.

What does your consultant recommend?
My personal view is that there is no need.
Also, let's get on the same page regarding this "sponsorship letter".
You are inviting your mother purely for visit purposes, right?
If so, then this letter is no more than a signed invitation letter - correct?

If you are getting this letter notarized then it makes it a little more formal, that's all.
It is like a signed declaration that you are responsible for all your mother's expenses during the visit like lodging, food, clothing, medicals, etc.

Is that correct or are you speaking of some other type of letter?

If my assumption is correct, then my personal opinion is that it makes no difference in the letter whether you mention PR sponsorship or not.

Might as well keep it simple and just talk about the visit.

I'm not an immigration consultant and have no legal training in this matter, so this is purely a personal opinion based on my own experience and nothing more.

i went to the consultant yest and she made an affidavit on behalf of my husband who is actually inviting her saying that "since my mother in law will be visiting her sister who lives in US, i would like to invite her during holidays for say 2 months. and also that " I have already sponsored her and attached is the acknowledgement letter from cic"

she is vouching on it saying that we have to do this in order to get visa..

now tell me is the affidavit ok?

one more simple question.. my mothers name is Shameem but is spealt in the letter as Shameen , is it possible that i change it with black pen the n to m? will there be any prb?

pls reply

thanks
