You canot hide any info. from the Canadian visa officers and so better be point blank.
Also it is supposed to be a cake walk if you apply for Visitor's visa in USA and no documents are needed. My parents got visa from USA in 2006 and they just gave their passport (+ all of my documentation). We applied at Buffalo and it seems that the Canadian visa officer there did not even look at my parents when he was issuing the visa.

saying that "since my mother in law will be visiting her sister who lives in US, i would like to invite her during holidays for say 2 months. and also that " I have already sponsored her and attached is the acknowledgement letter from cic"
she is vouching on it saying that we have to do this in order to get visa..
now tell me is the affidavit ok?

one more simple question.. my mothers name is Shameem but is spealt in the letter as Shameen , is it possible that i change it with black pen the n to m? will there be any prb?

BTW, don't bother with MP's letter - MP's are dime a dozen and CHCs abroad don't give a flying rat's a** about them.

Pratick,
I would disagree with you on that one. It does have some very solid effect. I know a lot of cases in which the MP's letter played a role in getting the visitor's visa.
Quote:It is possible, but I think this applies more to immigration/refugee cases, more than simple visit visas.
Some MP's also call CIC New Delhi personally and follow up on the application.
