My question may sound absurd, but I have a doubt that I need to get cleared,
I have completed my 3 years of stay in canada, today,(Landed on Sep 11, 2004|) can I apply for citizenship right away or that I should be waiting for another year before I can apply?
Their web site states that you complete 3yrs of stay out of 4 years. What exacly does that mean, you can apply for citizenship only after you have 4 years of stay
You can apply if you have completed 1095 days in Canada

It is confusing but it means that those who have been in Canada for 3 years can also apply for citizenship right away.
That clause means that you need to have stayed atleast 3 years in any 4 year period. This comes into effect if you stay in Canada for the first 2 years and then leave for 3 years and then come again to Canada. After the first year of your return, you canot file for citizenship as you have failed in the clause of having lived in Canada for 3 years in any 4 year consecutive period.
I hope Citizenship Canada can be more clear in their language / explanation on this one.

I have been a PR since 1095 days, with continous stay I am completing 1095 days of stay today out of my total PR status of 1095 days,
I am just re checking as they do not refund the procesing fees of 200 $ per person applying.
So I conclude that I can apply for it.

Sidenote : If you do not qualify and you still apply for citizenship , it doesnt mean that you will lose your fees .. What will happen that CIC will advise you to wait for more time ..
