Hi,
Can someone let me know when can we fill in our citizenship application. To My knowledge it is 3 years of continuous stay in Canada. But some also indicated can apply after a 1 years of stay. How far is this true.
Thanks,
cherryl
hi,
I dont think you can apply for citizenship after one year after reading this official piece of info here :

Thanks Faisal. I did read it from the website but I still know I guess if not 1 year atleast 3 months before your 3 years end. I am not sure if anyone has done it before please reply.

hi,
I have this unofficial piece of info:
If you have stayed in canada for 2.5 years straight, without any exits, you can apply for citizenship. But its entirely upto the judge to decide whether you are eligible or still ineligible for citizenship. If the judge decides negative for your case, you lose all the fees that you have submitted for the citizenship application and have to start all over after completing three years.
Again this is unofficial, unverified piece of info!
