I have used Goldline Cards (under brand name Ci Ci) extensively and have not had a problem even once. I have not used their phone card for about a year since I subscribed to their D call service which allows upto 8 telephone nos being connected to one account, and also gives regional local nos to connect thru while travelling within North America. They also have a very good 24 hrs customer service. I have used this company since early 2001.

But today I was surprised to read a news in which some consumers complained about another brand of their card marketed by a sister company and the court has ruled that they have to refund 50% of card value if the consumer is able to prove his purchase - and they expect to give back a huge chunk of money (I might be wrong but the figure I remember is $750,000).

While I am shocked to read this news, I still will continue using them till I have trouble myself - which I have not had. I am surprised no one on this forum, either in this thread, nor in other similar threads has ever mentioned Goldline - which I am told is perhaps the biggest phone card company in GTA. I have been to their office and found it is definitely a solid company (a few large floors in one building along Leslie street in Richmond Hill/Markham).

For anyone who might be interested, their web site is Goldline.net

About Techno, i have a bad experience. I made a call to Punjab and due to bad voice, within 30 secs, i cut that call. Wehn i tried to reconnect it, it said that no amount is left in the card.

I enquired from the help, and they said that the card is for one time use only and i can't use that card any more.

About 20-20, there is problem of less talk time as told prior to start of call. About 40% less talk time they gave!!

Try Bell Canada "First Rate Word Wide " not available for all the customer . If you ask this plan by its name only than you will be hooked wz it . Montly network charge $ 2.95 . For India its 23 Cent anytime for Landline . US and Canada 5 cents , anytime calling.

@ Bell canada this is the the best rate for Long distance . They have nothing better than this . You may consider rates for other Countries too.

This Rates are Comparatively less to Primus . Primus charges $3.95 montly as so called "Network chagres" and for Bell its only $2.95 . Rates for India , US and Canada are same otherwise.

Check your self @ Primus

Bell have stoped marketing this plan as here Customer pays very less $$. Please note you have to ask this plan by its Name .

I am a satisfied customer of the Startec long distance service. Unlike Bell and Primus there is no monthly fee and the call quality is pretty good. And you can negotiate long distnace rates with them.
Has anyone tried the new internet service- the Skype? It is free and quality is FM quality. There are no uncomfortable gaps or disconnections as encountered in MSN or Yahoo services. However, there is a big BUT. The two parties must have high-speed connections. Give it a try guys. It is offered by the Kazaa people.
