ICICI = lousy customer service = Cannot make online paymemts (Visa) = (but) good interest rates on savings a/c.
You have to take online complaints signed as "ABC" or "XYZ" without proper details with a pinch of salt. Anyone can file such a complaint against any organization/banks on free online forums. It may or may not be true or be just one-sided view.

I agree that there is a possiblity of one sided complaints. However please enlighten me - how many consumer complaint redressal centres have you come across in India? I might sound unpatriotic to some, but customer service is not even among the lowest of priorities in Indian businesses. Yes we got used to that way back in India, is aother story.
How would you defend the fact that customer service is a non-existent service at ICICI canada?
I dare any official from ICICI canada to defend these allegations.

I am not defending ICICI bank but some of the complaints do not even make sense. There are some complaints that would be genuine (which give proper details) on the site mentioned above.
Read this .............from the site mentioned above.

ICICI seems to be cheating in the name of online banking, telephone banking. Apart from poor response when you correspond, they seem to be doing some organised cheating when you apply for closing the SB account.
Here is the pattern:
1. You are asked to send Debit card & Cheque book.
2. When you make repeated enquiries, say after 1 month you get a response saying they have not received.
3. If you had not sent the documents through reg post/courier, they may create all sorts of problem.
4.If you have got the proof for sending documents - you might endup loosing balance money before they finally close account.
5. They have taken 3-4 months for closing the account (three different instances, in my case it is going on for the past 2 months, I have already made 5 trips to their branch.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. You are supposed to send important documents such as cheque book and debit card by registered post. How else are you going to defend your side?
2. This person says you will end up losing balance money if you have proof that you sent documents in! What exactly is it supposed to mean?
3. Can anyone even explain what the point number 5 is supposed to mean? If you could make 5 trips to the branch, why would you send important documents like cheque book and debit card by ordinary post?
