I am a PR holder and I need to invite my sister and brother on vist visa and they might even apply for studying in canada. However after reading many posts in here it seems the ties to india ( originating country ) is one of the prominent criteria in issuing visa.

Would like to know your ideas, to show these ties? What all should be included so the accessing officer would be assured beyond doubts that this person has a reason enough to return back to india ( both in case of vist and student visa )

-property and family ties are given, what else you guys can think of? ( may be this will help all of us or atlease me )

Thanks

I should not run my country down. But when I see how low they stoop to squeeze the life blood out of a Emigrated (Not Immigrated) Canadian, I feel that it is time to let every one know how carefully they must prepare their departure, so that one can Leave peacefully and settle down in a chosen country of theirs. What has that go to do with ties??!!

Here is one such document: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/E/pbg/tf/nr73/README.html

Here in Canada for STRONG LINKS and AFFINITY to a country, you don't have to provide them with a picture of you, the applicant, with a long bungee cord attached to an Indian Airlines plane, or a picture of the applicant pinned to an Indian Map like Bharat Mata or nailed to a cross or attached to a street sign with a set of manacles,

All they are looking for are simple things, such as a Bank Account, a
Membership in a club or a Professional Organization, or a group, a Post Box
Number belonging to the applicant, Magazine Subscription in that individual's name, a Drivers' License, a dependent that you left behind or a Pet, a Property of yours left Not rented and if rented, but not rented to an individual, at ARM's LENGTH. (They are not into tree houses yet.) And maaayyy be your forgotten pair of bloomers on the clothes line, that you left behind for drying in the sun, et all.... constitutes a VERY STRONG TIE to this country. OH YEA. You can provide the same freaking items in India to them with digital photographs or notorised and attested copies of all of these for their perusal. Hope the hell it works. Shoot them with their OWN SH..!

FOR STUDENTS:
A commitment letter from the applicant saying that he/she intend to return back and be with the family and be of support to them on their return after completion of the course. Also a letter of an offer of a post upon completion of the degree with a firm or a sponsorship from them with a financial help, either in part or in whole for her stay or the study or for the books or victualing expenses that the applicant will incur in her studying days and an offer of a post upon return at the INDIAN END. I can ramble on and provide you with more suggestions. I don't want to go from this ridicule to the sublime. How about a boy friend or a girl friend?! Are we there yet?!

Alternately use your own resources to expand the field and also provide us with what you intend doing to convince the Immigration Officer, without an inkling of doubt.

Now don't you go practicing Bungee jumping or looking for manacles!!

Have a good one.

Freddie.

We used to have a comedy show called "Rowan and Martin" show and we used to have a character in the show called ERNESTINE and when she ended her report she used to end it with "That is the Truth" and her tongue used to quiver out a pile of spit flying out of her face. I want to say the same here "That is the Gospel Truth", whether you like it or not. (My monitor screen is still dry)

Most of the vegetarians who eat Salads and Tarkari will stop to think twice and here we have a saying that goes as follows " What is sauce for the Goose is sauce for the Gander ". (Don't take it in a sexist manner)

People in your position should be better equipped to come up with a GOOD answer to these and hence the suggestion to you.

A lot of people have paid the price. That is living in this part of the world.

So be guided by it.

Freddie.
