i have filed for my pr application to buffalo ,new york in the last week of feb and havent recieved any mail or confirmation from them and have written my indian addresss as my mailing address ,so i am curious whether they will process my application or send it back to india and process it according to indian time slot i.e 4-5 yrs.
I am eagerly waiting for some guidance and tips on this. Can i email them and request them to change the Mailing address from Indian to Canadian mailing address.

Any help is appreciated.

Your application was made from within Canada and you want the process to start and get completed within the normal wait period. So, please provide them with a local address and when it comes through, you cross the border and get your stamping done, just crossing the border here.

I am sure some of this could be done through the e-mail(s) too. Please check their site for the directions to the change of address.

buffalo does not take any change of address through e-mail or internet even though the option is there, they specifically ask you to mail(snail mail), there is a problem here, since you have not received any response yet(I would wait upto 2 months to get confirmation and file no) and do not have any file number to quote for change of address

I had posted this query on behalf of a friend of mine. So i am sure these reply help him out.
Other than waiting for a file-no i dont think he can do much on his side.
