Hi Desi Members,
I need to evaluate my Indian qualification through WES ,the problem is my name in the Canadian records and In the Indian Passport is with expanded intials,whereas all my educational records the name is with the intials only.Can anyone tell me is this going to be a problem or not.
I am curently with PR status

Hi,
Where ever you had education and studied, go to that location/s and obtain a statement (Affidavit) saying that you are one and the same person, who studied there and you abbreviated name is as follows...... and your FULL name is......... as appearing in the passport bearing the number and details with in the passport. Also sign the document, just like the one in the Passport you have in your possession. Include a color copy of the passport and get everything attested by those institutions.
Also if you have a year book and if your picture and name appear in that , then, run by and get a few color copies made for the same purpose. That way they will all relate to one and the same person.
Alternately get a JP to do the work at your location and pay him/her for their services.
That is the reason, most of the Educational Institutions here in the North American Continent want the transcripts DIRECTLY sent to them FROM those educational institutions that they went. They do not want a copy from you. If it is the same at WES, then provide them with the details to get in direct communication such as the phone and fax number and the addresses of them and also provide them the costs, if it entails any. Also request them to provide you with a copy that is valid here in Canada and North America, if it is feasible. That will save the running around the next time. (Or a link to them)

Don't do from WES. Service is so bad.
they will harras you for each small thing

If u have option go for Uni Of Toronto or some other

I agree with mumdxbcan view. Evaluation of WES is not worthwhile. Let me also tell you this bitter truth evaluation from any of these will not land you with a job. In my case i did my education Evaluation from CCPE & WES at both place my money was wasted.
I got it done from WES. What a waste of time and money. Take my suggestion, don't go for Degree evaluations, except only if you require license to work in your field. No employer, I repeat, no employer ask for your Canadian equivelant of your Indian education. I am working for renowned communication company and they mentioned my Indian qualifications with Indian university name when sending my introduction letter to the whole company upon my joining.
I still repent my hard earned dollars that I just threw off to WES. 
In my view, evaluation of credentials is necessary only in some cases like a govt job, or if you are applying to any of those programs run by HRDC (career bridge etc.), and for applying for some university courses to upgrade.
Now since you have not mentioned what is the need of evaluation, it is difficult to suggest what to do (though others have simply advised you not to get it done from WES assuming that it is for applying for a job - which I do not think you have mentioned at all!)
However, if you have to get it evaluated due to some specific reason by WES only, the best people to answer will be WES and you can ask this question while submitting your application.
