If you look up Craigslist or Kijiji...you might find many drivers offering 1 way or 2 way ride for cost of gas. Try contacting them. Dont pay any advance to anyone.

Though that Ad was for last week, it SEEMS he is running this as a bussiness - or partime income. You can still try him.

I havent tried this service, but dealt with many advertisers on craigslist for buying/selling products. Though most of the experiences have been pleasant you need to do your due dilligence before making any payments. Remember, you are dealing with a stranger and make your own judgement - ask for references.

Sometime ago I also posted a link on CD for cheap private Taxi services offered by Chinese drivers - again you can search and try those. All these require some efforts from your end to contact 8-10 drivers, negotiate, meet and check thier references etc...

I just visited Niagara last saturday by VIA Rail and came back by grey hound at late night. It was good experience.

I would like to travel to Minneapolis in September.
I want cross the border by road and catch a flight from the nearest point.
Since I am coming new from Gulf, landing in Toronto in August, I am not familiar with the above route.
Please guide me the route for this journey.
Any bus or train to the nearest airport (USA) across the border to fly to Minneapolis?
I would like to see the border crossing and intrested to fly from US side.

Buffalo will be closest.. Detroit is the other option. Check out the deals from Toronto as well - with the increased fuel surcharges, driving to buf and flying from there may turn out to be more or less the same cost wise + more time.
