Never ever rely on movers.

One of my friend had a very bad experience. He had to shell $ 500 without a single pin being moved.

They started demanding $ 200 as advance then they demanded $ 300 deposit for insurance.

My friend was lucky to say good bye to them at this point otherwise he might have parted with more money, after loading the stuff and completely going in thier grips.

My friend had also called the police but they shrinked away from their responsibility by saying that the nature of the case is civil and not criminal and hence advised to go to the court.

F.Y.I. the movers were "Executive Mover" from Scarborough. They have a office in Toronto.

l used Metro Pacific Movers , and these people where quite honest there told all their charges on the phone their rate is $55/hr their number is toll free 1 866 762 0234 these movers were help full l was happy with their work . My brother also hired Gateway Movers 416 723 6683 ,( http://www.gatewaymovers.org)" rel="nofollow">LINK he was happy too . The Mike from Metro Pacific Movers gave me a very good deal when l was moving from my 3 bed room house downtown Toronto . 2 year ago when l moved into the my new house that sold this year l was ripped off by Desi and , l felt so betrayed by my own people . l was scared to use movers again , but l didn't have manpower to move my whole , house. To me Metro Pacific mover's honest and professional service was the best thing that have ever happened to me . l told them to that will recommend them to my friends and people l really feel that l have a moral obligation to do so because these guys were hard working , there did not take breaks , my wife made food for them since it was late and they told her that they will eat it after work . I wish other movers can learn from small company like Metro Pacific Movers that giving customers any honest estimate makes life easier for everyone . They did not ask me for any deposit l payed when the move was done , unlike last time l end up pay for $1ooo before my move was done

I plan to move on 29th of this month from Mississauga {2 room Apt} to Brampton {Detached house}.Can any one recommend a good mover?
I called U Haul, they have given me rate of $30+.65 cents per mile for a 14 feet truck for 8 hrs.
It is definatly better to hire a mover with helpers but after reading so many horror stories with movers, i m scared!
But if someone can recommend a mover you have used it will great!

In case some one needs short move ( furniture etc ) you can check with Student Mover ph 647-895-5368 . email .. I have used them once to move a treadmill from the store to the house ... got their contact from craigslist .
