Wifes visa query !
CIC Mississauga received my application: April 22, 2008
Started processing and sent to CHC Delhi: May 22, 2008
Passport request received: July 22, 2008
Passport submitted to CHC Delhi: July24 , 2008 along with completed foreign travel form as wife spent 22 years in Dubai. Grew up there - has 3 old passports + 1 current - all submitted with the above form.



Questions:

1. Time frame to receive passport with visa

2. Validity of visa - her medicals expire Aug. 24 and police clearance 3 weeks or so from Aug. 24 08 - she has some stuff to wind up so how much time can she spend in India after getting the visa É

I see that you are getting good processing times and it is heart warming to see that they have asked for your Passports within three months.

The posted times for the processing and finalizing is given here at this link. That does not mean that you will not get it sooner than that. :

Please note that they have quoted the processing times in Months. It is an old list.

They have given three months to a few of them and some longer than that. There is a thread maintained on this CD board for processing times from the middle east. KSA, Dubai etc., Please search and locate the same. Post your concerns there and keep a constant watch there. That is the best that I can guess.

If things go well, you could be here in Canada before the year end. (If you want to get in). Please don't plan anything till you hear from them with your passports and instructions there with.

There is another section where they have a list of things that you may want to do before you close up your stay there. Please look for the same and do your best to get ready for your entry here.

My query is for my wife who is in India now but spent 23 years in Dubai growing up from childhood. Can you answer the questions I have posted as this is specific to this case - it's not an application from Dubai.
