CIBC Credit Alert recently notified me a credit check which I am not aware. The company is called INTLUSA. No phone number on the alert. What should I do?

Your question has the answer. Did you call CIBC at 1-800-465-4653?
Yes, I have contacted CIBC and they asked me to contact requester. But there is no phone number of requester.So ultimately I have to contact equifax to check what is happening.

This is probably from your US based credit card company like Citi, Sears, MBNA, etc. You might have applied for any of these cards or you already have their card (and they do credit checks sometimes, even if you already have card)

Capital One has started operating in Canada now.
They may still be using their US agency to do the credit checks, i.e. INTLUSA.
Have you applied for a Capital One loan or credit card?
Or have you received a "free" offer from them?
