My son's school has asked us to buy ice skate and its essential protective accessories. Where can I buy ice skating helmet? Is it similar to hockey helmet?
Any feedback will be valued as we have no clue on such things.

Waly mart - Just ensure it is made by CCM. It will have the the 'CCM' sign on it.
There are some with a face mask/guard. Some schools ask for that while others do not. For smaller kids it's an added protection.
You can also buy it at Canadian Tire, National Sports, Zellers and other sports stores.

Hockey helmets are different as most of them come with a Visor..
You can also search in Kijiji.ca as I found someone selling a new unused one for just 15 Dollars or something..
