Adnan,
Children need to eat solid food by atleast 1 st year for their brain to function properly and grow.
Try to see what food your child likes. Every child would like Macaroni and cheese / Pizza etc...
Try one day not to give any Milk but only water (Not Juice as Sugar will feed him) and then may be he will start eating.
One doctor advised me to give 2 % milk so that the child will eat solid food better.
you can also try to give Toddler energy buiscuits / baby food to see if he like it.
You must take your child to a specialist ASAP.

Peace by TK

Like it or not

But u have to be strong and get little tough to feed him.

make him feel hungry , gently force to eat solid food , give me few choice. but don't give him milk

Also, while u feed him try to change place , let him play with food and then let him figure it out how to eat.

but be little tough and don't give him anything until he eat solid food.

i know it not a good idea to force kids at this early age but u hv not choice since solid food is required.

u might feel bad keeping him hungry but u hv no choice to teach him how to behave.

try different place and different food

good luck

Try the gerber/heinz food jars to start with and then move to regular food. Kids should start with semi solid food before 1 yr.

Hi,

My Son same age same pb , very active, loves milk, but we never give him milk with sugar, just regular 2 % milk....

doctor told me,...Dont worry.. He is Good..

some times he eats cookies with milk and sometime we have to force him to eat....hide the milk and say first you have to eat and then you will get it...

he loves cake, and timballs.

2-1/2 years is high time for them to be eating regular, solid foods.
Only milk is not appropriate for this age.
In fact, by this time, they should be eating the same things that you are eating (mild spice though).
I wonder what kind of doctor will say that a 2-1/2 year old child can do fine on a 100% milk diet.

I suggest start giving different types of food.
Make him sit at the table with you during meal time.
Start with one variety of food (like roti/daal or rice/daal) and move on to different varieties.
If you are non-vegetarian, try cooked chicken too.
Try North American food too like bar-b-q chicken, pizza, etc.

Also, start giving multi-vitamins.

What have you tried so far?
What is his reaction to food?

If he has a genuine and real abhorance to food, then it is a matter of concern.

Go easy on the milk now - let him feel hungry.
And forget about the 2% or 1% milk.
Just get full cream milk.
