Try some of these tips:
Try to eat with him same food so he doesn’t feel that you are forcing him to eat something different.
Make eating as fun for him by using different strategies/games: give him one sip/bite and have one bite and count how many turns we both got.
Switch on his favorite show and feed him so he is busy while eating.
Best way to work with children is listen to them and make them do the things you want with love, if you force him, he will become more stubborn.
Make Kheer (Rice with Milk) and add lots of ground dry fruit. He will like as he already developed taste of milk.
Boil mixed veg. with lots of carrots(as u mentioned, he likes sugar) and grind it coarsely feed your son after giving him a warm oil massage and bath in the morning because after bath kids feel very hungry and is ready to eat anything.
Are you still giving him milk in bottle?
If not – try giving think chicken or veg. soup(grind veg./chicken so it is hard to separate) in his favorite cup and take turn in eating with him.
Never be angry on him for not eating instead make eating time fun.
Invite some of his friends who eat solid foods or send him to day care may be for little time when they have lunch time because kids learn from other kids too. They always want to eat what others are eating.
I am sure your love and positive attitude will change his eating habits.
Good Luck

Saloni
My son has started going to Montessori this month and I have to send his lunch and 2 snacks everyday. Snacks is fine but I need some different Lunch
(vegetarian)ideas.
I have prepared a 8 days menu for him but I think he is bored of eating the same food everyweek as much as I am bored of making and giving him the same stuff every consecutive week. I think very soon he might lose interest and stop eating even these things that he likes. As it is hes a very picky eater.
I am saying this because this week he got his lunch box with lot of leftovers.
We are vegetarians and usually I give him 2-3 kinds of pasta, macroni, bread sandwich, soup and similar stuff. Indian food that we eat like paratha curriees daal rice I have to fight for it during the dinner time..only I can feed him those so no point sending them in his lunch box.
Any ideas appriciated.
